Today, the Tour dips into its 3rd country other than France, on a 209km flat transfer stage into Switzerland. For the riders, it was an easier stage, in advance of the assault on the Emosson dam scheduled for day after tomorrow’s rest day.
For me, a rougher day than I’d have preferred. Some mis-directions and lost time, angles that didn’t quite work out, and a broken race radio shredded the idea that maybe I, too, would have an easy day on the road. Today was a bust for sure, but for the completion’s sake, here’s what I got from today.
